The only issue except those body and neck dings - the hardcase is missing a grip (or handle?). Is it possible to ask CS about replacement without shipping the case over the whole world?)

Was that the one from Washington Music Center? If so I played it a while back and it is awesome. Too bad I am not a 5 string player (anymore). JOSH

Congrats, beautiful bass right there. The neck back is sick. Yikes what a combination, Natural finish, Rosewood neck and a Tort guard!! Smokin' bass. All the best.

I have no idea) Now it is like more than 10 000 km from Washington) How long ago have you been there? Afaik this bass was in long-term use of previous owner and did not hang on music store shelves. But I do not know the details =)

One more day and this blond will fall into my clutches :)

Finally the bass is here! I've played about 30 mins and I'm completely stunned. Especially with the neck. I do not know why but it is much easier to play compared to my regular SR5 neck . Also the bass has lesser weight.

The only bad thing that is has a lot of micro dings and scratches all over the rear side. According to that + 2 significant dings on the pics I've posted and the gig bag shape I guess this bass did lots of job in the past.

Also the Fedex label on the shipping box says that it came from Roswell XD. If so I have to call it UFO)

P.S. I have a question for you guys. The neck PU sits twice as deeper then the bridge PU. I guess that was made for easier slapping but on the other side it's output is much lower. Should I get it closer to the strings?

Thx Kevin!

One more Q. About those two neck and body dings. There is naked wood with no lacquer at all. Should I treat it with some stuff if it is possible or bring it to the luthier? Or it's ok to leave it as it is? Those damaged spots seem pretty aged.

I agree with Mr.M about leaving it as is. Now you won't have to be as careful.

I accidently put a 1" scratch on the back of my black magic axis. Now, I feel like playing shirtless while wearing a buckle like this:

'course I'd have to find one that says "Rhode Island", but you get the idea...

I don't mind scars but worried about wood condition) Yes rosewood is awesome. Now I'm completely turned into this bass. Also it feels much more comfortable for me. Very light compared to my ceramics SR5 and has faster neck for me personally. I don't know why. I guess it's just my feeling.

I have a nearly similar bass except mine is tobaco burst. Those things sure sound great with a deep voice. I have the neck pickup a bit lower than the bridge too. It all depends on your taste soundwise. Try selector positions 2 and 4 and adjust to your ears...
