Hmm I'm gonna say Single pup bongo 5 in some sort of green color with gold hardware. You know, green's for the money, and gold is for the honey. ;)

While at the country club in S.L.O., I distinctly remember hearing Sterling say that there was, in fact, a twin to the flaming Biff in the possession of one of his sons.

Wake up in Paris, indeed. I moon you and your martini. I moon you fully.

I was drinking, of course, so have no clear memory of what you really said.

You could possibly bribe Pete to check through the video surveillance footage...;)

Just for Ha-Ha's - A Mister Horsepower inspired Bongo with an excess case of flames called Jalapeno Salsa. Gives it that nice green and red Christmasy flame.

Or maybe I have my head entirely up my wazoo. Maybe the Flaming Biff is so cool that the non-flaming Biff would never consider offing the backup, even if the cause is surely a good one. He has a tendency to hang onto historically significant instruments, right?

So maybe this is a new bass. Scotty and Dudley have formed some sort of evil partnership and are doing some extremely nice work - remember the guitar they built for Biff?

Anyway, what this points up is that I have no effin' idea what this next auction bass might be, other than a Bongo.

And I know that I have not enough disposable income to make a serious run at it!

It will be fun to watch. Hell, it's already fun! Look at us quiver!

I had to read that through at least twice, given my current mental state. 'Cause there's actually a non-flaming Logan Green Bongo...oh, never mind.

There is indeed a non-flaming Logan Green, as seen in Dargin's avatar.

Now that I'm drinking, I really think it's a new bass, not something that's been around for a bit.

Aside from my family, very little makes me happier than looking at that photo and remembering where that bass came from and how much fun it is to play it.

Something else that occurs to me: I'm in a very different position now. Before, I always had a bass or two that I could, if something came up, sell or trade or exchange for magic beans.

Now....I have:

1. The original Sapphire Black Bongo 5 HH, which of course is non-negotiable.
2. The Big Poppa Bongo, which of course is non-negotiable.
3. The Flaming Biff Bongo, which of course is non-negotiable.
4. The Blue Pearl Bongo 5 HS, which of course is non-negotiable.
5. Heinz, who of course is non-negotiable.
6. The Candy Red Bongo 5 single hummer, which isn't even here yet.

I've been painted into a corner!

Not that I'm complaining, mind you.

I'm gonna take a WILD guess, a bongo with 3H's or HHS or something.

i don't know how they'd fit, or if it even makes any sense, but i've been doing math and programming assignments for 2 weeks and my brain is tired.

Would that be a "Stratobongo"? :D :D :D :D

And just 'cuz nobody suggested it, as stupid as this may be, perhaps a whammy bar Bongo?

Once again, if it's green and it's a Bongo and if it resembles the Flaming Biff in any way you'll have my down payment toot sweet (I think that means very quickly).

I know Worthington will be right behind me.

I'm willing to accept that its a Bongo, plus with the stated desire to make the Bongo continue to evolve (and have some impact in tuning the body) plus the following "joke":

Spaulted lucite body with balsa neck and hardware made of unobtainium

My vote is for a clear lucite Bongo like that custom shop strat Fender made a few years back. Either that or something unusual like an all graphite composite Bongo, etc.
