When Big Als were new to the world, I immediately bought two. One single H and the other SSS.
I still have - always WILL have - that lovely silver H model.
Back then, I did a fair amount of live work and very little recording. That SSS just had so many knobs and buttons and I’m not very talented so on stage, I spent way too much time fiddling with stuff instead of concentrating on the 4 or 5 notes I usually know.
So that one, I sold. And now, I rarely play live but record all the time.
You know, I’m not that smart. I sure wish I had that SSS now. Anyway, carry on.

I have one I picked up last year. It is truly my favourite bass. The neck pickup and mid position in passive mode are amazing to record with and playing live the active circuitry really comes alive. Found mine in U.K. at Bass Bros.
