A friend got a Big Al recently and recorded this....

We all know that the Big Al is a p-bass killer. But I´d say that it´s a jazz bass killer too. Inti is a FANTASTIC player. And the Big Al is a fantastic bass.

wonderful player....I need to study this....when it came out i could get like the first few bars....please thank him for me...

He is indeed a wonderful player. Fantastic technique and very all round. As all round as a Big Al bass actually. If you decide to learn that song, grab a Big Al and go for it! I will send him the link to this thread. Bet it will cheer him up that you thanked him. :)

All the best.

I prefer the bridge pup on the Big Al bass over a J bass bridge pup...its a clearer/more balanced tone, plus the Big Al passive tone and the 4 band EQ gets you anywhere you want.

A normal bridge J sounds pretty weak compared to a Big Al S at the bridge even when the Big Al is in passive.

Thanks - great player and one of my favourite basses.
