Hi chaps

I still think I want another EBMM for my 30th, which is a fair while off (6 months plus) but Id rather order it this year (pref in about 2 months).

I need to firstly make a decision as to whether I want another 5er.

I have my Ray 5 being delivered soon, so ill get playing that as much as possible and see whether I should go for a 4 or a 5.

Id like to be able to use the Big Al or Reflex in ALL of my bands, so that might lean towards a 4 string, as some of the music I play feels better with that 4 string spacing diggin in with a pick. The 5er would be for other projects, and probably lean towards fingerstyle. We shall see.

So, im not sure if I should go for the Big Al SSS or Reflex. As the Big Al is such a massive departure from the EBMM norm, I might go for that. I like the fact it does a more traditional tone as well as the balls out EBMM tone.

The Relfex looks great though....is the H in the Reflex ceramic?

Argh!

Yeah the H is ceramic. Look mate if ever you are in London send me a message and if I am ashore, I can let you try both the 25th Anniversary 5 HSS (same thing as the duran duran) and the BA5SSS, so you can get an idea.

It's very difficult to give an answer to Your question, both basses are triple pickup configuration and have similar switching system and 4 band eq.
If we put design by side, here is big difference in body woods between this two models, and difference in bridge pickups, S on BA vs. H on RX!

You are the only person who can make a final decision!

P.S. ...I'm too subjective at this moment, 'cause new RX on order, so You know what would I go for! ;)

Haha!

Big Al it is chaps. I've wanted one since I saw it. Maybe Reflex next year.

Time to get to UK is 16-20 weeks for build etc, which takes me roughly to mid December-mid Jan time

I think it's almost time to get this bad boy ordered...
