This forum is about to get a lot less GAS friendly with all of these Big Als showing up.

Great looking basses. I'm sticking to my mantra of "too bad it doesn't come in a 5 string" but my resolve is weakening since my mantra keeps replying "real men only need 4 strings."

I gave in to my mantra and ordered one. I'm a 5 string player also, but a Big Al just needs to be in my arsnal.

the big al is really a left turn for us in many ways...and then again it is stone Music Man

Thank you BP and team for the risks you take (Bongo, Big-AL, 25th Anniversary) to bring us innovative instruments. The Big-AL is like that red headed cousin that everyone loves but looks different that the rest -- my red headed wife is going to love that one :p

Oops ... she just found out about that last one.:D

Gold = Bling. If Ali G played bass, it would be that.

So far from what I've seen, the Big Al looks great in any colour combo.

Hey BP

The Big Al is amazing. I absolutely love it. I have been playing with every single pickup combination and tone I can think of. Even if I did tell a certain someone that the pickup/active/passive buttons felt "squishy". I couldn't think of how to describe it otherwise.
This bass rocks. The Stingray is going into the closet for a while. Maybe a long while.:D

Have I mentioned that I really want mine now?

Because I really want mine now! This 5 month wait thing is for the birds...I think the next bass I buy will be from a dealer with it already in stock. I'm getting impatient in my old age! :p

Ha!!! That's what I've said about all my EBMM basses.

I can't figure which is my "Main" bass. I switch up all the time. Each time I start playing one I fall in love with it

I know this feeling very well. All I can say is i'm confused, but loving it.

i just noticed that the Big Al is spec'd out as being made from alder. i know woods come and go and often times they can be interchangeable. but is this the first EBMM with a recipe calling for alder? perhaps i'm putting too much into this, but i think it's great that for the time being, the different bass models are calling for different woods.... and why wouldn't they?
