My roasted neck Big Al 4SSS arrived yesterday evening in all its ebony-boarded, Black Sugary glory. I wasn't able to put down my Big Al 5H until this thing arrived. I have four Bongos that are REALLY glaring at me from the guitar stand across the room. I feel like the Sister Wives dude bringing in a pair of bunnies to add to the harem.

Except the basses can only sit and glare. And you can turn them to the wall and they can't turn back to glare again. Or you can put them in the closet.

The SSS is just too much fun. And of course, this bass you're talking about doesn't exist yet, does it?

Pics, slacker.

Yes, pics please. I'm waiting on my own roasted Big Al 4H and I have yet to see a picture of a Big Al with that finish combo.

The memory card for the Eos Rebel escaped in Paula's MacBook Pro, so here are some iPhone pics:

Effin' Gorgeous man!!!

That ebony board will SING on the Big Al!!!! Not sure how much you've experimented with it yet, but allow me to suggest you give the passive tones some time.

I used the active settings quite a lot when I first picked mine up but have been loving the passive tones lately. You can't go wrong with all three buttons up for the series mode, it's been my 'go to' lately. Very great sounds will come out of that beauty!!! Congrats.

I thought the roasted maple black sugar package would flatter the lines of the Big Al. I was right! Mine will be here in 2-3 weeks. Gorgeous.
