Nice! Love the back-stage shot - very pro!

Like yourself Mark, I play the corporate star by day and the rock star by night (with the husband/father role sprinkled throughout!) - love the duality of the stages in those starring roles. I think a lot of us here do just that.

The venue looks great - love a big stage and a big crowd. Show looks like lots a fun with a good group of guys and gals - thanks for sharing!

Great pics! Killer stage, rockin bass rig and look at that drum fill. How can you take it, when you have to look at the backside of that blonde singer all night.

Thanks for the pics! Great stage... I love to have space, but we're a 7 piece that playes mostly crammed into tiny stages... I wish there was a pic where we at least could see that 30th kicking (and now we know whose) arse :D

And the 4 dancers :)

what material do you play

This is a tribute show that does a 1 hour set from "Grease" followed by a 1 hour set of pretty groovy 70's disco tunes - Disco Inferno, Blame It On The Boogie, Celebration, Lady Marmalade, Young Hearts Run Free, Dancing Queen, some Bee Gees, I Will Survive, Footloose etc. 4 vocalists, 4 dancers, lots of costume changes etc.

It's not my first choice of music to play, but it's a lot of fun to play in a show of this size in these type of venues. I have other outlets for my love of rock and blues :p

let me guess, thai green curry before every gig right?

Usually the clubs bring us a platter of sandwiches or some assorted deep fried stuff after soundcheck, so the green curry was a pleasant surprise - not that I can have a huge meal before I go on stage. Something is good, but not a feast.

We're not always blessed with such real estate for a stage, at some clubs we struggle for room - that's when I'll stack my 210 cabs vertically. We've done gigs where the dancers have had to do their thing on the floor in front of the stage because there's 9-11 of us in total (drums, bass, guitar, 4 singers, 2-4 dancers)

This pic is towards the end of the night when the kids mistook us for the Wiggles and tried to storm the stage :D:D:D

Not even if I gigged 8 nights a week. Unfortunately (or fortunately, whichever way you look at it) I'm too far up the corporate ladder to give up my day job, unless U2 or the Rolling Stones call me

So if I decided to move to the land down under, you could get me a job?

I am slightly disappointed in the rather plain shirt selection though..:D

Me too, but in this band my job is to just stand up the back and make the singers and dancers look good. I do have one costume change though - I switch from a black tshirt for the Grease set to a black silk shirt for the disco set :p

I'll be getting my wig and shirt on soon for a new Rolling Stones tribute band I'm part of. :D

In disco folklore, I think a certain Mr Edwards used to change his natural Stingray's scratchplate between black and white dependent on what colour suit he was wearing in the Chic show  presumably not within the same show though. I couldn't imagine a 30th Ray without the black plate.

Not sure if it's my imagination but the singer with blonde hair and long legs appears about 6ft 6in tall in the photos - or maybe very tall platforms?

Seriously looks a great gig tho
