I recently (last night) saw Albert Lee doing a clinic for the Arts music store ...WOW!
quite cool..(BTW props to Pete at www.theartsmusicstore.com for setting me up close!!)
Since I'm a good old fashioned Canadian boy,,,, I was wonderin'...
When are you gonna convince Kim Mitchell (Fellow Axis user and hardcore hoser) to do a few clinics in this neck of the woods?
He's a great player and has a great sense of humour- I suspect he'd be a first class clinician.
Well?..............

Hi Jazzbo,

We're so glad you enjoyed the clinic! Big props to all the guys at the Arts Music Store! Also, big props to Kevin, Derek and Glen Booth, who coordinated the whole thing.

Hey Glen, do you think you could look into the Kim Mitchell thing for us? Derek?

Isn't he a great ambassador for EBMM? - a real nice guy to talk to.

I was hoping to get a moment to go see Albert, but couldn't swing it time wise. I'm glad to hear it was great! :)

I met Kim once.
I hope it was an off night for him, cuz otherwise my impression is "what an A$S!"

Kim is great. Good player, and puts on a great show. I'd love to see him in a clinic. I met him once as well, he came to a show I was playing, and came backstage afterwards to say he liked the show. Seemed like a pretty cool chap to me!

I've talked to Kim a few times over the years - first time back when Max Webster was doing their "we're falling apart" tour (aka Universal Juveniles) and a couple times at other shows... He's always been very nice to me...

I think Kim would make a great EBMM endorser/clinician - he's been a staple of the Canadian music scene for 30 years, and though he's not well known south of the border, he's very highly respected up here. And he's just a monster guitarist!

Glen, Derek?.. .any possibilities? For those of you interested, Kim actually posts on his own forum at www.kimmitchell.ca . He is a great rock player and the only Canadian endorsee of EBMM (are there others Beth/BP?)

I saw Albert Lee at the clinic done by the Guitar Shop.

Great event!
You couldn't have picked a finer ambassador for EBMM.
Albert's a killer player and a fine gentleman.
Not enough BP stories though.:D

Kim Mitchell is already an EB/MM artist, but we've never had him as a clinician before. It'd be great to see him team up with Pete's Overdriv'n team...
