So this is probably bordering on cheeky, but posted with good intentions!

I called S&T today to enquire about a BP AL, (51 days to go before I see if I get my contract) - anyway within 3 hours there was a response from Brian, saying that they weren't sure how/if it was going to be sold, and S&T would keep me up to date, - LUM and I are now famous in the S&T office for our kilts...

So I'm starting this thread to raise/guage/generate interest, i) hopefully so it'll help BP and crew decide if it's worth releasing them and ii) get some BP AL eye candy (which I realise historical google searches may have a different meaning!!!!

SO - who'd buy one of these fine instruments????? - --

I reckon I'll have one - sure beats putting humbuckers in an AL myself???

Good job Pat park on these pics...

It really is a beautiful instrument, just not my style. I'm a metalhead and love the JP guitars so much I keep buying them. One of these days, I'll have to try something new.

I can tell you if it wasn't for the awesomness that is a Cherry Burst JP, I'd highly consider one of these. That blue is just so classy.

"Mugatu is so hot right now he could take a crap, wrap it in tinfoil, put a couple fish hooks on it and sell it to Queen Elizabeth as earrings." - Zoolander

That is what EBMM could do and us knuckleheads would ask for it to be put into production. I don't think there will be a problem finding people wanting it on here, but in the reality outside the forum it may be a bit difficult to gauge the market. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't see production.

I think it just ain't ready yet. The orange one had a blade switch in the NAMM pics and a toggle like the blue one above in the first pics. BP will sell no wine before its time.

I was under the impression it would be a special edition, like the Dargies. Would they do multiple special edition order windows at the same time?

I played that BIg Poppa AL alot at the show and it has something special. The rosewood neck and that body shape really spoke to me.

Stealth BP AL with EMGs? ;)

See. I probably wouldn't like that either. The whole stealth thing is kinda cliche and I'm not a big fan of EMGs. Plus, this is a Big Poppa AL, not a heavy metal AL.

I like the design how it is and if it weren't for some of the other cool new stuff we've seen (and I've ordered) lately, I'd be all over a blue one. If the timing is right, I might still. The rosewood necks are to die for on any EBMM and having another one would rule, plus like I said, I need to try something new.

I can't wait for more details on the final product. I am VERY excited by this design. I know there's so much goodness going on right now at EBMM (DD2's, 25th's, Game Changer, Stealth...), but this is the one that's got my attention the most.

Looking through some old pictures I found a BP Silhouette (If BP means 3 humbuckers) I'll see if I can find it later tonight.
I think all the guitars are beautiful and I like seeing them.

One very happy smelly felly fella.

+1. I used to day dream about a dual humbucker AL. I used to also day dream about an AL with a RW fretboard. It's like the dream has come true but with the added benefit of a third pickup -- the cherry on top.

I wonder what the combo of the middle pickup with either the bridge or neck will sound like. I wonder what my wife will sound like when she sees that I bought one

Buy one? Not sure. I keep thinking a Morse model should be next. Or maybe a JP? An MM90 AL? BP AL? A Fretless Bongo? Too many decisions.
