After watching the show. My wife and I were thinking maybe the judging

should have been eating and scoring without knowing who cooked what until

after the scores were tallied. Seemed a bit biased in the scoring and judging

dept. Is it possible to get the recipe for the beans Big Poppa Smokers cooked

up? Looked like a fun gig to be at. Nice job !

So did they let you know in advance what you would be cooking? Also, did the provide the food or did you all have to go out and buy it yourself? The reason why I ask is because I don't know of any place that sells gator. I would have messed with them and served crocodile to see if they knew the difference.

we had tons of supplies that we brought because we were given a list of about 40 things that we could have to cook and then they supplied the meat. The alligator was really funky

I´ve had croc once in Africa. I was down scuba diving in Lake Tanganyika some 8 years/18 kilos ago. Horrible if not cooked right. Very tough meat. Impossible to chew. I´ve never tried to cook croc myself but I´d guess that one must cook it like coq au vin and let it cook forever. Just impossible to chew otherwise. I gave up after chewing for some 35 minutes without being able to swallow anything. My jaw got numb. So I decided to have some vegetables and potato, leaving the croc be, instead.
