Hey Thanks for the kind suggestions
Here is the truth. I would love to record a cd. Cliff has been after me for quite awhile. Steve Vai has been really kind and even offered his studio for free for me to record an album.
I think that I would call it "music for people with short attention spans" because it would be some original stuff then little short pieces and some strange covers. I love playing different stringed instruments. I play around with Ukelele, bozouki, mandolin. I play more acoustic than electric and am a collector of acoustic guitars. I am particularly fond of Collings Guitars. I have more than I want to admit. I might be the Dave Jeffries of Colling's. I like 00 and 000 mahoghany/spruce Martins and have a few nice old 20's era Gibson flattops that really sound good. At this years NAMM show I bought a Tacoma baritone acoustic guitar that is fun. I have had an archtop electric mando cello on order for years from tacoma but now that fender owns them I give up.
On the electric side I really like the brown fenders and think that the deluxe reverb is a desert Island amp. I have a pretty neat amp collection that you will see at the open house. I usually play with a Silhouettee 1h2s or an Axis sport with mm90s or a Albert lee.
I use a pick about 1/3 of the time with Bass and never on guitar. I told you it was wierd.
I love all of our artists but Albert Lee has always been a big influence on me.
I've known Albert since high school and am godfather of three of his kids. (I am also Kevin Morse's godfather)
The problem is time and I don't seem to make the time for it. I have recording software that is still sitting in the box. I am also drum machine challenged.
So there you have it. I was trying to play this down, but I felt I owed this longwinded email due to the posts. thanks for the time
