This is how you enjoy the Bahamas?

I think we should all feel a little flattered that BP likes his own forum.

I Pm'd him about a year ago (before the moratorium) hoping to play a duet with him at the open house.

Now I think I just give him a rash by posting. No need to PM.

I think you should close your PM function. Some people don't/won't listen and think you mean everybody except them when you ask not to be PM'd for customer service stuff etc.

It is enough that you take as much time as you do just being here answering questions, giving sneak peaks etc.

I agree with this!
Stop being a Capricorn and trying to do everything yourself!!!!
You have employees for a reason.

It's amazing enought that we forumites have access to you here.
People that really require true access to you already have it in other ways via email, cell phone, etc...

Sterling,

Just turn off your PMs. - Anyone who "needs" to contact you in all likelyhood probably does not.

Those who do believe they have earth-shattering info for you can contact Jack or email Dargin, or any of the other moderators on the board, and if those boys deem it necessary, they can pass the message along to someone who can get it to you.

Like Nick said, have codemonkey change your user subtitle to something other than customer service (I gave him that idea). I think it's great that you frequent the forum as much as you do, and I think it's a shame you still deal with trivial bull$#!t from people who just probably don't know any better, or who just want to say "Yeah, I got a PM from Sterling, we's tight"

I remember back when i first joined this crazieness and didn't know who BP was...

I would send this "BP GUY" messages cause he was like was knowledgable about all the EBMM products... and i was trying to learn as much as i could. Then out of the blue... a light bulb went off and I was like.. "OMG that 'BP Guy' is Sterling...." I think the very next pm to him was me saying sorry...

Sterling has always been first and foremost respectful of us on this forum... and far beyond generous to us. It's seriously a shame that someone would take personal offense to a very simple request and turn to name calling... Honestly is he trying to get Sterling to change his mind by saying... "Yer a Big Punk..." what a JOKE!

On a Personal Note:
Sterling i thank you for taking the time to respond to all of my PM's back in the day. I serioulsy appreciate the time you took to answer each and everyone of my questions.

The internet!!! Is that thing still around?
I hear it's on computers now!

No wonder BP is the employee of the month again.

Sometimes people can take this internet thing way to seriously.

I am tired of surgar coating and tap dancing on land mines.
Sterling, Turn off your F'ing PMs. Unfortunately this community abuses that feature. (again)
I think Pete was right when he said:
Just turn off your PMs. - Anyone who "needs" to contact you in all likelyhood probably does not.

When the questions get to be unruly and to time consuming then just let them pile up. If someone wants to know what kind of inlays will be on the Dargie Delight lined fretless they will find out in due time and you won't miss the sale. It's all good! Encourage the questions!!! Let's see which one gets asked the most. This forum is supposed to be self moderated. Make the moderatores earn those shirts and strings.

I love you being on this forum for your wit humor praise and smackdowns. I love the history stories and the insights you provide on how stuff gets done at EBMM. Please keep those coming.

There are some things that happen on this forum that (I think) you should deal with the same way you deal with me. Ignore the hell out of it. That's one thing that works well and (I think) we get along just fine.

I do like the idea of posting private messages from your inbox for humor purposes. I don't like everybody jumping on the band wagon and saying "What a tool". That's just trash talk and nothing good comes from that. Just cause someone doesn't like you doesn't mean they are a bad person and should be bannished from your kingdom. Hey at least this guy had the guts to communicate that directly. (The definition of directly is questionable of course)

Take 5 BP.

The only thing that i can figure is that, to be able to talk to the Owner of the company gives a person that sence of WOW, i'm going straight to the top....they dont really realize that they are really bugging you.

I dont really think people bugg you on purpose...it is the fact that you post here a lot and that gives us a sence of comfort that you are here.

You see where i'm comming from? But you are a busy man and that's what you pay customer service for!:)

What a jerk-off. You don't have to be around this forum that long to know the answer to the question the moron had. That "kiddy slang" as it was called gets old, shows no respect, and I for one can't stand it. It actually makes me wonder if you are intelligent enough to have bought that EVH guitar---maybe it's stolen????

Grow up, take some English classes, use the search function, and stop bugging the owner. BP, you might have to turn off your PMs, although it would be interesting to read some of the crap you have to sift through on your PMs (at least for one day---that's all we could probably take).

that's a little harsh!?

...we got shirts?

I got the shaft...

86 the PM's, BP...we'll handle the storefront, you crack the whip in the back room, and let's get those wooden beauties you guys muster up in the SLO out the door.

Anyone gets out of line, Koogs is on the case. I'll keep NorM in check (it's amazing what a Tazer can do!) :D

I could understand the misguided PM, but to assume a company will refinish an 11 year old instrument is a bit like expecting your wife to wear a negligee to bed after 11 years of marriage; though I hear it still happens on occasion. Btw, BP, do you refinish wives?

My wife says I'm too judgemental. Always trying to judge a book from it's cover. It's true. You know why? Because I'm almost always right. That said...

Anyone who can't type "the top" and instead chooses to speed up the PM process by substituting "z top", or someone who thinks it's internet-cool to type "youz"...

Is a jag-off of the highest magnitude.

BP, unfortunately for you, there are only 2 options: Turn off PM or not. I know you pride yourself on being accessible to the consumer. Unfortunately, in doing so, you're accessible to the consumer.

Regards,

Dave

PS

None of us here would think less of you if, when you get PMs like that, you responded in kind. But I know you can't do that.

BP,

Just forward all your PM's to NorM for screening. :D

Glad I could help.

Jimi
I will be happy to ignore the hell out of them for you.

I put the following on the bass side as well
Staying on target:
Did anyone think it was a good idea for BP to leave his PM feature on? Or can we look forward to another one of these threads in the near future.

What do you call it when you do the same thing over and over and expect different results? I think Einstine called that insanity.

You took the words right out of my mouth.

It does feel good when you start a thread and BP posts in it, even if it to chew you out;) Just a Joking. As consumers we need to understand that people in BP's position are VERY BUSY and that is why they have a customer service department.
