Normally, I wouldn't go for a pink bass, but that one looks absolutely killer. Seems like quite the unique pickup configuration for a bass. In fact, I probably chimed in with this same comment when I first saw the thread a while back, but hey, I just had to say it again.

Man you are good with photoshop, can you do up a doubleneck Y2D next?

Sorry to clutter the thread with my foolishness, but he did ask .. I promise I won't do it again for a good while :)

Y2DSR5 !!!

I just couldn't get the pickguard line to work this time. Not without making the guitar totally the wrong size and shape. Man do I have a great respect for real guitar designers wo have to make their gutars look perfect but still make them simple enough to manufacture on a set of automated machine tools ... there again .. these are freebies knocked off in a half hour or so ... I can do siginificantly better when I'm on a commercial brief :)

Hats off to all you guys ..

Prototype... 1992...

The guy who pulled the plug on this model deserves a pat on the back. ;)
leave it to the purveyors of StingRays to rotate the bridge PU in *that* direction.

Frankly, from a visual standpoint at least, piezo only with nothing but an output jack would certainly get a lot of second looks. Assuming the tone was good, I might actually consider buying one . . . the double takes from the uninformed woule be priceless. The bass that runs on "pure magic" . . . . - Tim
There are a number of basses like that. they all look realy clean, and get a second glance for that, but no puzzled looks about any lack of ugly black objects that are absent from mid-body. Godin A-series, Rob Allen, LeDuc, Renaissance, some versions of the Electroline, all have that look. I leave of off this list the Samic Remington, Carvin AC40/50 and most ABGs because the latter have that round dark hole that visually replaces a mag PU. I have a Godin A4 and a Ren 5, both fretless, and the simplicity of their appearance is remarkable partly due to the uninterupted top and partly due to the lack of two dozen shiny frets.

Bongo LE.
BonGo EL EEEE !!!!!
BONgO ELLEEEYYYYEEE!!!!!

With matching PU covers and PG. Sort of the AMG of Bongos. Black ebony FL would be a nice accent. Unlined, or magenta lines.

That's cuz you're still in High School...:p

Well, first, I have been out of high school for 27 years, and I dunno . . . . to me, that thing just looks kinda crude and homebuilt in appearance. Once again, in the eye of the beholder . . . . . .

Bongo it's not Tim but like I said, I dig oddballs.

Well, it's not like I ONLY like the Bongo style . . . . and some of those others in this shot are pretty neat. Just somethings hit me "odd" at times, and the bass I commented on was one of them. I will probably get flogged for this, but the Buttercream color didn't do anything for me either - all I saw was oxidized, old, dead, white . . . . . like I said, I react somewhat out of proportion to the masses at times . . . . I really like what I have seen of Radiance Red, but most folks here seem pretty lukewarm. I just wish I could have joined the Bongo world when the RR LE was available . . . . I would kill for one in HSC . . . . (if they even did the piezos then . . . )

And what are those two on the right? The body looks kinda like an SG, but the rest . . . ? ? ? ? ?
