I think I would prefer my unpainted neck too. Still have to wonder. How did it play and how did it sound? It is a good looking bass even without knowing who played it.

Imagine that binding on a Bongo. Oh and the flames too.

Oh, wow!

On the front the finish looks like cool, sparkling flames but on the back, the finish looks like a groovy lava lamp!

Well, personally, and I do bleeb I have expressed this many times before, I think they are tools and if you want to install tachometers and fuzzy dice and perhaps a nekkid lady on the back, then you go.

I tell you this, if I knew anyone at all in this town who could do decent flames, you'd sure as hell see a Bongo in black sapphire with bright red flames.

You know, I was actually thinking about sending my Bongo to Michael Dolan to get it refinished to paisley pink! :D

Tell me a pyschedelic Bongo - or one with flames a la Dudley - wouldn't rule the known universe.

That's a cool looking bass! I love the paintjob, but would personally prefer it without that specific inlay. How about one with the Justin Hawkins Les Paul flame inly up the neck?

Satch has a custom sprayed Ibby JS that would compliment that rather well. It's a flamejob too.

Go on BP, get Satch as an endorsee!

I'm not sure I would even take that bass out if I could afford to buy it! Too sweet for the
Sh*t holes I play in.

How about an Axis with that paintjob but rosewood neck.

I'd have died and gone to heaven.
