My OPINION on mayer is this. I think he is a good player and has really great tone. I didnt know for the longest time that he actually did other music than the pop BS that hit the radio. I found out through a friend he did some bluesy type stuf and really enjoyed listening to it. I agree that its good he gets alot of attention playing the guitar. Maybe kids will realize guitar is cool and pick one up and learn. Then one day buy a EBMM!!! Now Mayers new album I didnt like but thats me. I love EBMM guitars and playing guitar in general so I like seeing people that get the guitar more recognition!

One of the first time I saw JM was on the Dave Chappelle show years ago ... the "White People Can't Dance" skit, with Mayer playing guitar. Hilarious.
I saw a clip of him before a show dressed up in a teddy bear suit messing witht he fans in the aparking lot. They didnt know it was him because of the suit so he was like John Mayer sucks why are you here and people got really defensive haha. I think its cool he can joke abou himself.
