Hey boss, I know you and I've seen you play in some very interesting combinations of talented musicians.

You might think you're rusty and in your own head maybe you are.

But you could hang with anyone. If you can hang with Steve Morse and Luke (and this goes without saying - if John Ferraro loves you), you can hang with anyone.

I've seen Steve Lukather turn around to see what the HELL you just played - in a good way. I've seen Morse do the same.

And I'm too old to kiss your ass so it must be true.

Well said! I agree from what I have seen and heard BP can hang with anyone. I would love to be at one of the functions and see some of these jams in person...

Peace,

T

Besides, I don't believe age has anything to do with either speed nor dexterity, Les Paul played as good on his last gig as he used to in his hey days, BBKing is another one, he can rock Lucille to kingdom come and still manage to wow the audience. If its in your head your body will follow and do it.

As for Sterling Ball, I once pointed out with incredulous admiration at the fact that as soon as he finshed Namm, he was off to a golf tourney and then had a barbeque gig shortly after, all this while running 3 companies, now if he can rock all those gigs and be stil as perky enough to come here and answer the forum queries, then he's still in prime.

For someone to cope with all that they are either super fit or in the sleep depravation syndrome, where you sleep one hour and think you have slept the whole night.

CEOs that can still rock

I think I remember Larry Thomas and Marty Albertson, at the time co-CEOs of GC, boasting that back in the day they used to have regular jam sessions at work. I can't see that happening much these days, as CEO of the world's largest music store has got to be a 24/7 kind of job. Great to see BP able to pull off being not only a great manager/leader, but also a kick-azz player and all around decent human being. Hats off to BP for keepin it real.
