I have to wait until Feb for my DD. I want compensation!:D Sounds like a classic story my dad always told me about the trumpet player who showed up at my dad's gig, asked if he could sit in for a set, then on break asked my dad, "Is it OK if I ask for compensation?" to which my dad promptly replied..."No, it is not."

That guy had balls (and not the MM kind.).

I guess it was OK to ask as long as he knew that the answer would be no.

I just started a retail job about a month or so ago at an auto parts store.....you should hear some of the stupid questions I get.

Had this one?

"I need a 24-ounce oil filter."
"Pardon me?"
"My (insert title of appropriate significant other here) sent me in for an oil filter. He/she/it wrote down 24 ounce."
"What's make of the car?"
"It's an old Datsun."
"Ah. Can I see the paper?"
"Sure.."

The paper says 240Z on it.

I find it all fasinating, really, thoughtless people can be.

Never PM'd BP myself...

I have PMd BP exactly twice, and both were in response to a PM he sent to me.

Let this be a learning experience.

ENOUGH WITH THE KNOB JOKES GUYS :) British humour... :D :D :D

(I only object as you're making me laugh and if I wake Trev up I'll be in trouble... er ist betrunken... hahaha)

I'd be too intimidated to PM BP... I mean, what can I say that would merit a any sort of response? I can't even think of an excuse to email Beth or Kevin - much less the man himself! :)

Your point Jack?? I think BP puts his pants the same way we all do. I never have pm'd him nor do I intend to, but if I thought it was important and relevant I would. This is his companies site and he makes himself accessible......Not to people needing knobs mind you.

My point is that there is customer service available with an easy phone call.

Jon, Repairman to the Stars, is also easily available.

If it's a customer service item, call customer service.

If it's a repair issue, call Jon.

I'm not saying to never PM the guy. Maybe there are good reasons to do so, but too many people apparently think it's okay to ask him for knobs.

(And I get the knob thing! Bloody Englishmen.)
