I feel like a kid before Christmas!! :D

You know, there are damn few guitar boards where the guys who make our fave instruments actually mingle with the fans, never mind the CEO... I swear, I sometimes can't believe how lucky we are here :)

it is a mahogany neck through

PLEASE....................................

No dirty lacquer on the neck. I think I speak for most forumites when I say we all love the oiled and waxed finishes.

I have to agree. Please no lacquer. If you want to paint it - fine, do something similar to SUB, but no lacquer.

Big Poppa, I understand it's probably a secret, but is it a signature model or not?

I've got a custom 7 string, mahogany neck-thru w/ mahogany body, flamed maple top... and get this A LAQUERED NECK! I love every bit of it, just as much as I love every bit of the natural finish on the EB necks.

It's all personal preference, and what EB thinks will sell ;)
