We actually are on fire with ideas...We really appreciate all of you knuckleheads support
WE could use some more!

THe metal battery cover is cool but remember you need a screwdriver to change your battery.......It happened to me one time....bass breaking up that good old dying batttery clipping...no screwdriver...Its ok it was a wedding and dthe bride was ugly. Just kidding
ok homely

Recess the metal plate, put a rare earth magnet on one end and deepen the recess on the other side so you can tip the plate and get a finger under to pop off the plate. Looks and convenience, probably cheaper too. I HATE THOSE UGLY BATTERY BOXES! The plate looks sooo much cooler.

Hey guys just to be clear we aren't making a reissue. The standard "Classic Collection" will be similar to the picture shown with a few different appointments. The neck is what will set the BFR version off. Think late 80's neck but with a few twists. I think you guys will be stoked on the final product...

BTW GO ANGELS!!!!!

80s! I'm living in the 80s!

That will make this bass perfect for those Smiths covers.

I like everything that makes the modern Stingray easier to use. The toolless battery box and spoke wheel truss rod come to mind. And I know you guys ain't gunna make a pink version anyway so disregard my comments.

Please make a pink version

I cannot tell if you are being sarcastic or serious BP.

Assuming you are serious...

The piezo cover for my Bongo is recessed. Does that imply if it wasn't recessed it could drop the retail price on the order of $100?

I'm no marketing genius, but it seems to me more people would buy the piezo option if that were the case.

Makes no sense to me to not use the more modern, easy to change, no tools need battery compartment. I do not even look at the back of my bass except to wipe it down.

my $0.02

I love that these models will be available. Definitely on my must have list, after a Fretless Stealth with Ebony neck :D

Will the narrower neck width (Sterling width) be an option? Also, any chance of Ebony board??? I'd love to see the "Radio" knobs!!!

You know, classic features are great and everything... but I sure love those modern, easy to use battery compartments. For anyone that has ever had an all-active bass go down in the middle of a frikking tune, you know how nice a quick, no tools required battery compartment can be. Sure... be prepared, check your battery often, yadda, yadda. But it HAPPENS. And when it does... I'll be able to get the battery in before the end of the "break it down now" section.

Honestly, this has never happened to me. Ever. I'm not even that compulsively obsessive, I just try to be prepared. Strings can break, you can trip over your cable, some clown throws a beer into your amp... but batteries do not (in my experience) die before they are supposed to.

But I can not deny the convenience of the plastic box. That said, I prefer the "vintage retro" looks of the metal battery covers.:)

edit: I actually do have a screwdriver in my case, it serves double duty as the Truss Wheel Tweaker. Of all the innovations, the wheel is one of the tops!

Órale Y'all,
This line is right up my alley, Classic meet's Modern, truss wheel, more modern production construction, 6 bolt, ect, ect. As I posted before, and in my avatar picture, the sunburst/maple is my dream scheme, and it's probably due to reminiscing back in the day (mid 70's), and drooling over those old Guitar player/ Musicman ad's. I can now get the classic look, MODERN amenities, 2 band classic tone, and NOT have to pay outrageous VINTAGE prices. THANK"S POPPA!!!:D
