birdseye necks?

I was just wondering why the guys on the skinny string side get birdseye maple necks but we don't?

I mean the new ones, some of the older ones looked stunning. I've yet to see a new one with a birdseye neck/board. Or a flamed one for that matter.

I'm very happy with the eye/flame on my (skinny) EB's - I've seen new ones with not so much eye/flame - I guess that it must be harder to source?

This has been discussed previously, I think the answer was too hard to find larger pieces and too expensive.
