OK, I don't know squat about OLP or have any idea about what this bass is worth to even determine a max bid. I bid a 100 bucks and so far I'm winning. I got you guys PM's, but don't send me any money till we figure out what the fair max bid should be. I trust all of you and if you say you'll chip in, just do so after we win. That way if we lose I won't have to send all of your money back and stuff.

This fun and I hope we can get figgy a bass to hold him over till his new one comes. I understand this very well, I had to buy a few basses to hold me over while the Bongo is in the oven. :D

To check what the sell for, check the old completed auctions. I think they sell for around $125-150 usually. Right now the bid is at 99, lol, so your original bid is about to lose.

Take my advice, do not bid again till the very end of the auction, it only makes people want to bid more to outbid you. Sit and wait on it until there is only a few mionutes left and bid.

Crap! Figgy, I let you down. I've got a family issue going on here and missed that most important last second. I threw out a couple of bids earlier to see what the bids were doing and had the screen called up with a bid ready to go, phone rings, got distracted and failed my mission.

I'm truly sorry, I was excited about this.

Damn! I hate losing. :(

I'm kind of in awe here, and I'm not sure if it's a good feeling. Now I've taken part in several dealies where a forum bought a bass for a member. I even organized one of them. But, I have to say, I've never seen one where the member ASKED the forum to buy him one. It kind of makes me feel like I have dirty underwear on.

Either that, or he could do it the old fashioned way and buy his own.

I'm with you on this one...nothing against Figgie at all (we still love you).

Just not an approach I'd take.

The brotha just dropped a grand and a half on a new SR5. Figured i'd be a nice guy and offer to find a 5er he could play until he gets his. Considering he's used to his Sterling.

Didn't know my gesture was going to bring such smart remarks.
