That looks great. I'm always torn between classic color combos with the Bongo and the crazy bright metallic colors with the Bongo. I guess it just always looks good....
Always liked that. To me, it's classic, really an Olde Fendre image
in my mind, but works on anything. I tortied my black SR4, which
meant removing the tort PG that looked soooo cool on my crimson
SR30th anniv . The 30th looks OK with the black PG. The torty did
doll it up just right, but the torty is waaaaay beyond "just right"
on the black SR. I had an old Hohner J-type in black & tort and
that looked perfect, too.
Love that look. Taking my old '88 in to be looked at by a luthier. See if he can resolve some issues. If all turns out well, after seeing the black and tort look, I am going to dress her up with a new PG in tort. A new PG will dress the old girl up and make her look good Here's hoping the neck issues can be resolved........
Bad news, good news...... The bad news is that I am stuck with the bridge the idiot replaced the original with The good news is that the luthier found a high spot on the FB at the 8th fret. E string especially affected, A string some, G & D strings seem to be ok. He is going to resurface the RW FB for me and all should be good
