black axis with white pickguard

I saw a guitar for sale it's a black axis made in california it has a white pickguard
s/n G 04067

I've never seen one with the pickguard before can anyone tell me the year or anything about ones with pickguards

Maybe it was an Axis Sport?

They also came with HH.

They did make an Axis w/ Floyd around the same time as the Axis Sport, around 1997 to 1999 roughly. Someone from EBMM can chime in on this on Monday. But, that's an OEM pickguard on an Axis.
