No, there's me, and.....
I'm not that much of a fan of matching headstocks either , especialle not when the fretboard is maple.

No matching for me either. Gotta see the wood on the headstock, certainly on a maple fretboard. :D

Matching Headstock Love

...I would say yes and no for me. It depends on the color and pickguard color configuration.

Most of my basses in the past have either been black, red, or sunburst (of the three, sunburst is my favorite). But, once I coverted to the MusicMan faith, I have been infatuated by how handsome white MMs are---especially with a matching headstock and maple neck. However, I would not order a matching headstock with any other color than white. A black Ray with matching headstock isn't as attractive to me as a black Ray with a plain maple neck. A burst with matching headstock? Forget it!

I'm awaiting delivery on one just like this any day now.

No matching headstock though. I'm also considering a status graphite neck (awaits barrage of abuse....:) ). It's my 3rd Ray so I though I'd try it, y'know.....

Not a major fan of the matching headstock, but not to the point where I'd not buy a bass if I liked the body colour.

I always prefer matching headstocks. I just think the bass looks boring without one. The ultimate boring EBMM bass is black with black pg with non matching stock and every Guitar Center has 2 of 'em. BLAH! That's just my opinion of course.:D

This person has been trying to sell this bass on craigslist for a few weeks now. Go to the portland chapter and you'll find it for $750.00

With regards to matching headstock. I'm with you, Randracula, with the only exception being my buttercream. It's like buttah!
