Hello...... Looking to change out the chrome hardware on my MM Sterling 5, with black hardware. Anyone looking to trade black hardware from a "Stealth" for chrome??? It would be kinda cool, to have chrome hardware, on a stealth. Any help appreaciated. Thanx,

Just buy another bass and switch parts!

Actualy, I'm seriously considering buying a "Stealth Sterling 5" and switching hardware, then selling the "Stealth" w/ chrome hardware! Other option is to have the hardware powder coated black??? Anyone had luck with this before???

Never tried it but I was about to letting them get powdercoated.
That's your best option.
But buying another MM bass isn't bad also ;)

There's a recession....you may lose money doing that. Done right, you could probably do it yourself using automotive primer and spray paint.

I just picked up an OLP 5 with all black hardware. Let me know if you are interested in the black parts or the entire bass.

Hey 57, Thanx for the offer....! I just ordered a "Stealth Sterling 5" today. It will hopefully be here in 60/90 days? So if anyone is interested, I'll have a "Stealth" Sterling 5 w/ chrome hardware for sale. I'll make someone a killer deal.

I will be interested to see the stealth with chrome. The only thing I really do not like about the stealth is all of the black hardware. And I have contemplating adding a 5 string. At I may be over the trouble I just got in for buying a new bongo last week by then.

Wow, finally found someone who appreciates black hardware. I've been looking for this stuff myself, can't find it, well Hipshot does provide black tuner machines, but I don't know where to get this kind of bridge, OLP bridge isn't the same either, it's missing the two mounting screws on either side. I'll definitly consider the Stealth 5 as my next bass either way. everything about it is what i like. Black everything, i mean that's PURE EVIL!!! };) love evil stuff, even my screenname suggests it, and black is good, like my basses in black as well and my 2 roland synths are black, oh and black everything I wear, that's a sickness, and I love it, no matter how much everyone tries to convert me into the color world, trying to buy me some cheesy brown or grey or green t shirts, noooo. Black and only black. Red is an acception sometimes, I do own a Fender Jaguar bass in red, but it's also in the process of being EVILIZED, changed the stock tuners for black ones, still need a pickguard in black, black bridge, blackneckplate, no control plate sets in black, guess i'll have to spray paint that. There's my two cents on owning black hardware and everything that goes with it };)
Take care!...and stay evil...if you dare...people of the faith will probably want to avoid this one
