So I gotta say, I love my Turquoise BFR JPX-6, but I'm not too crazy about some of the strings I've been trying, most are excessively bright ( i.e. stainless steel) for my taste.

I want to get a smoother tone, and something that doesn't destroy my fingernail when I push it. I've been reading for a while about black nylon tape wound strings made by La Bella and a few other brands. I want to try them, but I'm wondering if the tape will interfere with the response on the piezo bridge saddles.

Any thoughts?

Well I think you should try, it's not a big investment and I think most of here are using EBMM strings so hard to answer your question
