After that it's just a matter of getting past the denial stages, and also the soft spot you have for the Sterling. But, and this is a promise, the Sparkle Sterling will love the company of a Bongo!

Wow, the story gives the big picture and helps me understand the passion. I didn't realize there were differences in electronics and other innovative concepts. I had figured all of the basses have the same amazing MM pickup so it is just a matter of whether one likes the classic body style or more modern look, and just differences in neck and body size.

Thanks Jack for giving that info! I always considered myself a gear head who can talk guitar history, pickups and amps with the best of them but I was clueless about this bass.

Thanks guys for not egging my house. I love how we can talk freely here and people don't get all hot under the collar.
