just wondering if pickup color was ever an option and/or why some basses had whites while (i believe) all current ones have blacks.

could this possibly be a custom option?

White, from the factory, is only available on Single Pickup StingRay 5's with white and white pearloid pickguards. All other models get black

I love the white pickups... maybe that will become a LE option one day?
Imagine a dual HH Sterling with a white pickups and guard?

right, well i'm thinking, pretty much any bass with a lighter color pickguard wants white pickups. big chunky black humbuckers on a white pearloid pickguard isn't nearly as cool as all white.

and i guess i might as well wish to the heavens for white knobs too for say, the bongos. imagine the opposite of a stealth bongo. a "ghost" bongo with white/silver hardware and a maple neck.

aren't we all, as bassists motivated to succeed primarily by the desire to have our own signature instrument? :D
