Saw a nice trans red (new) SR4 with one of the best looking pickguards I've ever seen. It had a real vintage vibe...Black with cream layers, and the bevel looked very wide on it so the edges were noticeable from across the room, or it seemed that way...very eye catching....very old school.

If I wanted to order one on a bass what would it be called?

sounds like you were looking at a 30th anniversary SR4. Not sure the order window is open for those any more. And I'm not sure you can get that pg as a regular item.

What you saw was actually the 30th anniversary Stingray. They all come with that guard. I am not sure, but I think that those are not available to order from EB. If you look on the net there are several places that sell similar guards. My recommendation would be www.pickguards.us
