I would really like to change out the white pickup in my SR5 to a black pickup. I would like to stay stock, but I may consider aftermarket if necessary. What do you guys think? The SR5 is Blue Pearl and I want to put a Tort guard on it. That's radical enough without having a white pickup in the middle of it!

I thought I had read somewhere that you couldnt take the pu covers off. Anyways best of luck to you both. Mobay, you should consider an abalone pickguard for the pearl blue.

I've wanted a blue bass with a tort guard for a while now so that's the way I'll go. I just couldn't do it with a white pickup.

With any luck, Pete's white pickup will be in the mail and on the way to Canada by lunch tomorrow. I guess i need to get the tort guard ordered though.

BTW - I ordered my pickguard from EB this morning. I talked to Dan and asked him what it would cost to get a black knob for the pickup switch sent at the same time. Being the fantastic people that they are he said he would send me one at NO EXTRA COST! These guys rock and their attention to customer service is one of the reasons that I will own one of their basses from now on. :)

Just dropped off the p/u at the post office, hopefully it has a speedy flight! :D
Nice lookin' SR5 btw, that is gonna be a great combo.

Yours is in the mail too! They don't offer any kind of tracking for international items at the post office. I did insure it though. Let me know when you get it and I will do the same.

OK, one more time I have to brag on the EB staff. I ordered the tort pickguard Tuesday morning. I got home today and my wife handed me a package from Ernine Ball. I wasn't even thinking about the pickguard being here until next week but there it was. Now if the black pickup can just find its way down from Canada.
