I know this is purely subjective.

For those of you who have had black sparkle guitars (specifically EBMM Black Sparkle):

Does the color wear on you after awhile? Is the sparkle mellow and sometimes looks like plain black, or is it always jumping out at you?

I'm just asking because I like black guitars, and was considering adding black sparkle to the wish list...but not if it's over the top "bling".

Gracias!

It is mellow and does not jump on you. To me it's better than just plain black.
I certainly is not "bling bling" at normal light conditions... I love it!.:D

I had a black sparkle Axis Super Sport for awhile. I LOVED the black sparkle, but eventually got tired of the rosewood fingerboard clashing with the black. Had it been an ebony board, I'd still have that guitar.

I have two Balls with a Black Sugar finish and it is a very cool color. When you open the case it looks like a plain black finish and then when you take it out and the light hits it from different angles it gets wild.A very hard finish to photograph though.
