No way do I deserve anything. I am blessed beyond belief with you guys as friends, but I will always, always value this gift. I've had a hell of a week and this made it so much better.

For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, the above-mentioned folks chipped in to buy me a SUB - quite possibly the best SUB ever built, in fact. I played this bass a couple of years ago up in Cinci when I went to visit my friends, Bob and John, and John had this ridiculously cool SUB....which then went to Cliffie in Houston, and when Cliffie had to sell it, I really considered....ah hell, it's a long story, but Rex showed up tonight and gave me a nice card (and some great tequila) and you guys just shouldn't have done it.

But you did, and I tell you - I will always value this bass. It's a good one.

And Rex agrees!
