Wow! I love the Blue Angels. I caught them in SF several years ago....very impressive.

A somewhat related, but funny story. I have a friend who is an F16 pilot with the Green Mountain Boys here in VT. They fly out of BTV International a few times a day, and it's fun to watch. There was a rumor going around for a while that it only takes them 15 min to get to the coast - so I asked my friend. He said that they could do it in 15 min, but they'd have to do it with full afterburners, and then there'd be a big splash - because they would have used up all their fuel.

One of my buddies that has since retired from where I work, his son was a Blue Angel for years. I can't remember if he flew position 2, 3 or 5. It was a cool gig and he did it for as long as he could.

On another note, now he flies for either Fed-Ex or UPS. Hahahahahahaha
