As you are aware our resident Albert Lee fanatic Rob has been preoccupied with other things lately. While I'm sure your thoughts are with him constantly, Rob has kindly asked me if I could post these pics for you all. Thanks to BP for this wonderful and very very rare instrument and thanks to Rob for purchasing it thru me. Anyway folks here it is....

I have GAS for my own guitar!!!!!!

Cant wait to take my own pics outdoors, WHAT A SPECIAL AXE!!!! Rosewood and AL single coils simply KICK ASS! HUGE thanks to the EBMM guys, and my good mate Colin who i ordered it from and did good work to ensure its safe delivery to Rancho Alberto. The cool thing is- its pretty heavy! Which is great, its a complete strat killer.

I thought Rosewood was not available on ALs and Axis.

I'm kind of bummed out to say the least.

Yeah Larry - it is on my '06 LE and it was on the Dargies.
Another way to get it is to be Tyler!! ;)

Hey Rob how's things? - are they looking up?

My 06 LEAL is heavy too - some people shy away from that - but there again they didn't play a Les Paul for years !!

That is a nice looking axe -

now get a damn piezo (and an AER) will ya!!!!

coling throw in some wonder wipes for that fretboard!

I love Wonder Wipes. When I got my Luke, the fretboard looked like that. I heard everyone talking about the Wonder Wipes here so I got them and the neck shines like an Ebony neck now.

hmmmmmm, Ebony neck on a Luke............wait, that's a different thread. :D

ah ah ah I must admit that the Dargies needed some wonderwipe as well but after 2 towels (1st one then one month later) the finish is just perfectly smooth on the Luke and The AL :D

Rob, this is an amazing axe you have here and you are finally a member of the rosewood AL neck.

A rosewood AL neck is the best guitar ever !!!

BTW someone can explain why the combination of the too make it slighty heavier than regular model ? I really add the impression that the dargie is MTB equipped as Tommy (in delaware thought) 2 reasons for that the weight and the sound

But as BP said this is just a good guitar :)

Congratulations Rob

I'm not a single coil kind of guy, but this guitar is simply awesome. It has that real nice bell tone, you could easily get sounds from Eric Johnson to Mark Knopfler....

Man, I sort of wish I didn't change my mind about getting a 2007LE AL. Oh well, I guess some future Ball purchases will help me get over it.
