Pete just told me that my 07 LE bass has been started. Since it got ordered as early as was possible (at NAMM), that means it'll be one of the first batch.

Estimated 3-4 weeks for completion, then a week or so for delivery.

wOOOt!

Let's hope we see some factory torture pics soon!!!!

Wow! NAMM was in December/January-ish, right? That's good turn around time. Congrats!

mine was ordered at namm.
i was told 8-9 month turnaround.
i guess ebmm's experiment with nuclear subatomic factory chimps was a success.
sweet.

I was really kind of hoping it would take 8-9months to make them, that way I would actually have money to pay for the bass!
O well, I guess I can cram 6 basses in my tiny tiny tiny barracks room. hehehe

I didnt say we were trying to reduce turnaround time. What I said is that Dargie reserved production bucket space way in advance to make sure that we could produce the LE's, 20th Sr5's and such. This was a leap of faith that has turned out quite nicely.

I'm hoping for production shots. And I sure hope you're going to post pics when you get yours. What did you get? Bongo? SR? Sterling? SR5? H? HH? HS?

Cool. I now understand how those 20th SR5s came out so fast after namm.
My question for the EBMM team is how soon untill all the final dargies will be completed? It seems to me that you guys should be getting close to scraping the bottom of the proverbial bucket.

Blue Dawn Coming...

Hi Guys

First post to say I've just ordered my 1st Stingray after always admiring the looks and that great bridge pickup sound. Should be here by early September.

Decided on an HH after reading all the posts here, and will hopefully get the original Ray sound plus a few more besides! When I tried an HH I really liked the mid-position and bridge only pu positions.

Looking at pictures and reading the forum till September...

That Dargie, if any of you should be wondering, is a damned genius.

I've heard rumors (rumours for you furr-nurs) that my 20th SR5 might be ready next month.

Given what we read above about the Blue Dawns, that is some amazing scheduling work by Dargs and the production crew.

My hat's off to you guys, as always.

Mr. Bovinehost Sir

Having asked when I ordered my Blue Dawn SR4 LE if it could be supplied with no pickguard (to show off that great colour (sorry color  )), my dealer said that the factory uses the holes for the pickguard to support the body during production and the best they could offer was a plexi pickguard. The holes are always drilled in the body for a pickguard.

Are they pulling my plonker as they say here in the UK?? or do you know different?

Cheers

hmmm From the pics I've seen, EB uses the neck pocket to screw on a kind of handle or something to hold up the body when spraying. I bleeb some other Acme brand bass manufacturers do the pickguard thing. Perhaps your dealer got mixed up on the details. Of course, what do I know. Grain of salt, ymmv, imo, etc etc fax mentis incendium gloriae etc etc memo bis punitor delicatum

Mister GMD sir,

I believe your plonker has been pulled on the process itself, but he was at least correct in that your bass will come with a pickguard.

The holes are indeed always drilled and the pickguard indeed always comes on the bass, unless it's a special edition thing or you're, say, Dave LaRue.

But clear pickguards can be very entertaining.
