Wow, that shot up a TON in the last minute.

It's a shame, about this time last year, a friend of mine sold his BD Sterling for $800 after trying for at least a month.

My snipe was set at $911 which is about max I could see us spending on this once you tack on $400 shipping.

I don't get over here too often - cool thread though. And a belated happy birthday.

If it's any consolation, I saw an identical bass at GC in Arlington Heights IL (near Chicago) the other day. Don't remember the price, $9-ish? Didn't look at this one that close but Blue Dawn was one of my favorites.

If Tiff can live without the factory hard case (considering she can buy a SKB or Gator for AUD$100), the bass can be shipped to Australia via USPS in two separate smaller packages (with the neck unbolted) for around US$100 insured.

Then again, if she makes it to the Lord Bongo birthday bash in November, shipping will be free :D
