I'm about 5 mins away from ordering a 2007LE JP6, but just wanted to know what the story is with the variations in the finish of Blue Dawn.

Note the JP in the pic below is much paler, and the centre blue seems to be greener that the other 2. Is it a fading issue, or is there irregularity in each batch ?

I'm dead keen for the deep Blue like the Axis Sport & the AL, but would be somewhat disappointed if it was like the JP above (no offence to the owner).

If one like this turned up, I'd be happy

Dizzy,

My JP in the top picture is different from any other Blue Dawn that I have seen. There is no midnight/dark blue along the outermost edge. I actually prefer it to the others, but hey - that's me! I guess someone else must have sprayed that one.

The picture with DaveB holding the Blue Dawn JP looks like every other Blue Dawn I've seen. I guess mine is a freak of nature, but then again, look at the two other Blue Dawn guitars I have hahaha

Thanks Pete,

Actually, the ideal for me would be the same amount of burst as yours (i.e. extending more to the edge), but maintaining the blue tones (rather than the greenish tinge) on the lighter colour.

Oh well, if you're saying 99.999% are like the Namm Pic with DaveB then I'm happy with that.
