It doesn't take too long to get used to saying ex-wife though. :D

I'm sure that's true, though there are a few synonyms for "ex-wife" that probably get equal time. :D

Yeah, how's "Dad" coming along? :D

That one's actually easier. I think the difference is that going from being engaged to being married didn't necessarily change my life a whole lot, especially since we were already living together. I started wearing a ring, big deal. Having a kid, on the other hand, changed everything immediately. It's all good, but I don't ever have to remind myself that I'm a dad. Reminders are everywhere, from the baby pictures in my office to the toys that have turned my basement playroom (with the big screen and the stereo and the leather furniture and the bass equipment) into her playroom (with the exersaucer and the play yard and the rattles and the teething rings). I hope to reclaim it someday.

OK, back to Blue Dawn. Woo-hoo!

That's exactly my thoughts! Marriage wasn't a really big deal to me (but it is wonderful). We lived together for a while first, and then we got married. 6.5 years later, we're still kickin'. But having kids is another story! If you're not absolutely, positively 100% (maybe more) ready for kids, it'll be quite a shock for you. I thought I was ready when we had our first. No way! Maybe you can never really be ready; you just have to do your best with them. We have our second kid on the way, and this one was REALLY unplanned!

Sorry for the hijack...
