Sorry. No pics.

The 2 sparkle guitars displayed were...
1. Red Sparkle Luke Piezo
2. Bronze Petrucci

KEITH

The red did nothing for me. The bronze was okay. No comparison to blue dawn, autumn burst, candy apple. imo.

Hey Guys,

I spoke with our paint department and found out that the Sparkles were not that difficult to spray.
Come to find out the spray gun issue was not as much as a problem as I thought.

Blue Dawn and Burnt Apple and Autumn Red were a little more time consuming but again the orders started to fade. We decided to offer up something new.

We did show about 4 or 5 new metallic finishes
and we ended up keeping just Radiance Red and Medallion Gold. Everyone liked them but the orders were not supportive.

Seems like the dealers are worried about stocking these colors and opt for the more traditional finishes to hang in the stores.

Our Number 1 seller is still solid black.

Check out this picture of The Radience Red
LUKE.

My dealer told me that most of the Music Man guitars they sell are custom order. Maybe it has something to do with only stocking traditional finishes.

I love the transparent finishes on the figured maple tops, but if I was getting a Sil. or Luke the Blue Dawn would be my preference.

The radiance red looks nice though.

There is a Rad Red Bass here at the local GC. When you look at it, it is like that color trips a resonance wavelength on the cone receptors in your eye. As if you were looking at the sun, your natural tendency is to look away. It's pretty amazing. Still, IMO I could stare at Blue Dawn for hours.

Thank you Derek for chiming in. It's always good to hear "The Word".

None of the pics I've seen make the Radience Red or the Medallion Gold appear Sparkle. Are they the big sparkle like the black or kind of middle of the road?

Is there any degree to where a special order on a discontinued finish can be made with an upcharge or anything? I know John Petrucci of course was able to get a new black sparkle like his 1999 prototype. I would love to be able to get the old purple color.

I am praying for a purple finish like the Mystic Dream in it's midpurple phase(just a touch lighter than the old purple finish that used to be available). Maybe a Mystic Dream without it ever going as far as green on the shift.

Is that even possible?
