I have always been sort of on the fence regarding blue dawn - some days I love it, other days it's simply too garish for me... There's nothing like a good love/hate relationship :)
Eske

One of my favorite things about Blue Dawn is that it is shiny and sparkley with out being to gawdy or garish. Then if it does cross the line well, that's what I'm all about. That is blue dawn in my avatar.

I believe they can be ordered through a dealer as soon as they are officially announced.
Orders seem to be taken to coincide with production times during the model year of the run (the DOB). Therefore, depending on the production line, they will stop taking orders when they would be pushed into the next year. As an example, at the current 6 month or so backlog, blue dawn orders would be taken through say June in order to produce the guitar by end of year 2007.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this is the way it has gone for the past few years.
The cut off date for the 2006 LE was August I bleeb.

True.....but.......

True, but when it's all over, I'll have a completely new grill! :D

And then I am going to eat a CASE of peanut brittle! And grin like a jackass! Well, more of a jackass than usual! :D

And as an added advantage, my lip won't hang open and I will be able to speak properly for the first time since high school! :D

Do we know what the differences in the LE models will be?

Black Headstock maybe?

nah... get down to Central America for a full set of dentures. Cost around $1000 with round trip plane fare. That will give you an extra $8K for gear!!!!!!

Well, the dentures are easy. They are a couple grand maybe. The rest is reconstructing my jawbone and skull. It's all lousy genetics. Everyone in my family has the same thing.

Oh well, I have 2 Dargies on the way. I guess I'll just have to make do with them.............

Ernie,
BP mentioned something about an inlay... he didn't get too specific but it sounds like there will be some differentiating details yet to be determined or made public.

I was wondering how the news would hit you since you have just about every sparkle known.

Oh yeah and thanks for the pic. I think that's going to be my LE although with 7 strings.

missed ya in Dallas man.

Yah Ernie, too bad you couldn't make it, but those things happen.

I was figuring that the black headstock, since all of the other LE's have had that. But like everything else we'll just have to be patient and wait.

Oh damn it, I think I'm gonna have to get me a Silo in this color! I hope I will have moved by the time these are available, cuz my parents are gonna kill me for takin up the space with Balls :D.
A Silo w/ piezo trem, rosewood and some kind of cool PG sounds pretty damn GASy! Might have to sell my vintage sunburst one and get this uniqueness instead, even tho I love my sunburst silo.
You guys are killin me here!!! :) I havent even recieved the 20th and my ASS :)D) wont be in untill sometime next year. What is this sickness?!?!?!
