Yes. You will pay more. You will actually pay more for Blue Dawn than you would have for other LE colors in the past due to the technical challenges of this color. DaveB would be the guy to contact to find out how much.

Blue Dawn is the 07 LE color and is not available as an option otherwise. The 07 LE includes the special neck inlay and the upgraded Tolex case.

There is always an upcharge for LE instruments. Part of this goes for the finish and inlays, part for the case. MSRP for the 07 LE upcharge is $500 in addition to the regular MSRP for the guitar itself...somewhat higher than in the past because of the considerable extra work involved in the BD finish (BP said it's 3x the labor, and there's a serious paint booth and equipment cleanup involved). Contact your dealer to see what street price for the upgrade is.

i visited a local establishment at lunchtime and they have quoted something a little out of my price range so i guess I will stick to the stock colours.

Any recommendations?

See the avatar. Desert Gold is a schweet color. It also looks different in different lighting...ranging from orange to almost yellow.

Just don't do something boring like black, okay?

Ok, Mrs Phrat threw a spanner into the works last night when I told her about the Blue Dawn and she said "If thats the one you really want then you should get that one" (i think this new engagement ring thing really is working in my favour).

I guess another trip to the dealer is in order :D

Let's see, one of you is tired of their existing pricey accesory, although its perfectly fine in every way, except that they are just bored and want a new one in a pretty colour.

Then there's your wife.

What's to figure
