Here you go, folks. I did some different lighting effects in hopes that it might show off the finish better. The second shot is perhaps the best representation...the sparkles are really subtle, but definitely there. It's just awsomely cool.

That pic was taken at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, at last year's F1 race.

I call it the Land O Meat. It's pretty much impossible to buy anything from the concession stands that isn't made of meat. It's out of control. I mean, check this out:

Oops...sorry, I didn't think it was of that much interest. I've already packed it away. It's deep dark blue vinyl, with darker trim. Really nice one, very high quality. It has a little "2007 Limited Edition" plate on the cover of the case candy box.

That's why I got so excited when I first saw the pics of Dargin's BD Bongo last June (it showed up first in the thread that eventually led to the Dargie Delights). The shape and contouring of the Bongo really lends itself to burst finishes IMHO, and the color of the BD is terrific.

At the time I didn't know it was a sparkle finish...as you can see, if you don't use a flash the sparkles don't pop out at you in a huge way.

Based on the various photos around here I decided to go ahead and order one. They don't do it justice. You just have to see it in person.

After I ordered, I found a used BD Sterling at the local GC. I was stunned at how beautiful the finish really is.
