That's very, very nice! I love that case. So cool!:D

It is indeed. It's going right back in its box and is getting stored in the attic, where it will remain pristine.

I'm not a big fan of Tolex cases. I'm hard on cases...I chuck them around without regard for scuffs and such. Tolex tears, and within a year the thing would be mighty ratty.

I ordered a regular plastic case from Pete along with the bass. That's what I'm going to use to carry it.

DONT SHOW YOUR FACE!
.

TOO LATE!

Why don't I show my face? I'm not a good-looking guy.

Thanks, BP, for doing such a great job and for sending me one of the very first ones!

Speaking of idea to conception, that little something I promised for the CLB foundation will be in the mail tomorrow.

Ha! That was a great gag! I want to see the picture Pete snapped of your face when you opened the case and found no dawn of blue inside. :D

In person, blue dawn is amazing! It goes from sparkly blue to clouds of purplish-blue to an incredibly deep blue then black. Even the back of the Bongo neck is bursted. A first rate job all the way.

Andy turned away so fast that all I got a shot of was his left shoulder while he was screaming "NO NO NO MAKE IT GO AWAY!"

nice bass :) the blue dawns shipped way quicker than i thought they would. awesome!

pete's sneaky like that

Sneaky sneaky

Amazing how fast that happened, really, and that is an amazing finish.

And yes, yes, Pete IS getting cuter.

Careful Jack, don't cross that line!

hey pete how much for that tuba?

That's a town relic we have on display - not for sale, sorry. Anyways, I've seen you in person - you aren't "phat" enough to play tuba.

Crap. I am SERIOUSLY considering changing my 07LE to a Bongo.

AD, if it's not asking too much can you show me a shot of the back of the neck?

Jeez, Blue Dawn.

I liked it, sure, but never even considered that I'd have to have one.

Okay, I'm still fine with just what I have and what I have on order, but DANG, Andrew, that's nice (if it had frets).

Is it a piezo Bongo as well? (Or am I going nuts? Well I know I am but nuttIER?)

I said it in the other thread as well, but that Bongo is so sexy. How anyone can look at that and compare a Bongo to a toilet seat is beyond me.

Tho a Blue Dawn loo seat WOULD be funky for my new bathroom :D

Hey Adoug,
That is so awesome that you were one of the first to score your BD Bongo! I think it's really nice that even though EBMM knew that bass was for YOU, they still made it really fast and got it out to you with straight nobs! :D  :p
You lucky SOB!

Thanks for the pics!

Oh yeah, and I wish I could have seen your face when you opened the case and found a gold bongo! lol

I just don't think I can ever look at a turkey leg the same way now:eek:

That pic was taken at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, at last year's F1 race.

I call it the Land O Meat. It's pretty much impossible to buy anything from the concession stands that isn't made of meat. It's out of control. I mean, check this out:
