Still working on it as well. Got some local help, so we'll see. I can't belive the guy wouldn't sell it to me over the phone.

He legally can't sell it to you. Any guitar GC gets in used is subject to that state's Pawn Shop laws. Here in California, they check to see if the serial number is reported stolen within 30 days. If it doesn't come back as stolen, then the item (the guitar in this case) is releasable to sell...

So the guy isn't trying to be a pain, it's just part of the system.

Zombi, thanks for the info. Didn't know that. All I knew before was that I have bought a few used guitars from GC, and had never had this happen before.

Congrats Tony, nice score! I can't wait to see nice pics of that top and back of the neck. I think that I see a pattern here with you and blue guitars.

Yeah, I'm still getting the Silo 30. I put the deposit down on that a while ago. I'm still looking forward to that one.

I do have a thing for blue guitars. I've lost count of how many I've owned exactly, rough guess is around 6. This one will make 7.

I did get a good deal. The guys at GC Fountain Valley really took care of me.

I'll post a new thread when it gets here, hopefully by the end of the week or beginning of next week.

I've owned two others, and love how light they are. I also love how they sound. I know it's essentially the same guitar as the Floyded Axis (minus the trem obviously), but they are tonally awesome. Definitely better/different from the ASS hardtail.
