Since I did not find a lot of pics and info about Blue Pearl by searching here I thought I would start a thread to see if we can collect some. Most of the pics I found were of Bass guitars in Blue Pearl....only one ASS. Mine is an Axis on its way from CA.

I'll have a few days wait before mine is in the house. I will definitely get some pics and post them up here, but until then...show your EBMM guitars in Blue Pearl.

Also, does anyone know if this is still an available color? If not, what years was it available? And is it possible to know how many Axis they put out in this color

Thanks!

Seems kind of rare though on the guitars, would you agree?
I have not come across any other Axis in this color.

I still get confused between blue pearl and pearl blue, but anyway here's mine, with three different pickguards. Pardon the so-so pictures.

Most Axis guitars are ordered with a translucent or burst finish so that you can see the figured maple top. Because of this, opaque finishes are quasi rare on Axis guitars. They are still available to order though.

Thanks for the info A.J. Are the tops of Axis guitars done in an opaque finish still figured maple? Or do you use a more plain piece of maple then?

Seems to be a color that looks very different in different lighting.
Is there a diff between Blue Pearl and Pearl Blue?

Yes, and I think mine is blue pearl. And I think pearl blue is lighter. There's also a carbon blue, which is a great color.

It reacts to light cuz it's a fine sparkle finish.

I was just wondering about the maple top thing when I was thinking about the Dargie II JP BFRs today. I'm really curious to know as well.

Wasn't Pearl Blue the color on the Luke I's? Blue Pearl is the color that's available now. But I think when people say Pearl Blue, if they're not talking about the Luke I, they mean Blue Pearl. So they basically mean the same thing.

wasn't either pearl blue or blue pearl one of the colors for the sub1?

My blue Subby is super fantastic in the sunlight, changes to many colors......purple, green, red..... fantastic!

I've been told that mine is Carbon Blue Pearl

Anyway it's "blue-ish pearl-ish" and here it is:
