Look, do as I did.
Get yerself a bottle of Tequila, a quart of orange juice and some grenadine.

In times of stress pour yourself a large Tequila Sunrise .. but don't look at it too much......

It'll only remind you of a Sunburst AL !!! ;) :D

Scott, thanx that was such an awesome color, I know Ernie has been hunting high and low for a JP in that color.

The pickups in that guitar are Seymour Duncan Seth Lovers I do believe. He uses that guitar to do some of the video demos for Bronx amps. Check 'em out. Awesome tone and playing.

LJ, yup the sparkle finishes were offered from 2001-like 2002 or 2003.

The Gold Sparkle seem to be one of those colors that there weren't a lot of instruments made in. Though I have to admit, I've seen a few Sterling basses in this color on EvilBay.

And I'll agree again, that is a very, very cool color. :D

Dargin,
Any info regarding Blues' guitars would be very much appreciated. If I'm not mistaken, the one in your pic has a very thick maple top for enhanced tonal purposes. Any pix of the Dirty Boy amp?

Thanks!

If you go to Blues' site and read the FAQ, you'll find that his Albert Lee is an Alder body with 1/2 inch maple cap. The neck is wider too. It has Seymour Duncan Seth Lover Pups. The only thing making it an 'Albert Lee' is the body design. Still and awesome looking and sounding guitar! Too bad EBMM doesn't make a Saraceno model. I'd buy one in a heartbeat. His Samick's were very cool guitars, especially for the price.

... but the Albert Lee IS a good 'un in it's SSS or MM90 guise too! ;)

Wow.. the AL (lookswise) is my least favorite MM guitar, but I do think that one looks pretty damn cool.

Yeah I know what you mean.
Just an observation though - all the guys I have shown my AL to (who said they didn't like the shape), changed their mind when they saw it in the flesh.

It just like when I had VW Beetles - people loved them or hated them.
