Hey all.

My first Ball arrived this week. After pestering a bunch of you folks with questions, trying a couple of different models, I ordered an Axis. It arrived 3 days ago. Seeing pics can mildly prepare you for the real thing, but oh man. I'm swooning. I could swim in that top. Pacific Blue Burst sure is pretty.

My wife and daughter feign neglect; all I've done is talk about and play my new mistress. My wife rules, though. She kept asking me if I had bonded with her. She's hip to guitar mojo and understands that a guitar has to "feel right." She's a rock star. Since I know you guys like family pics, here she is (singing lead):

Anyway, thanks to all who answered my questions and helped me demo some different things. This forum rules, as does Derek. I finally feel like I'm home. Thanks for humoring me and forgiving the stupid giddiness of playing your first ball.

Matthew, congrats on that. You're definitely right about that top. Its killer! Enjoy the many many hours, days, weeks, months, and years of playing you'll get out of that beauty.

Absolutely killer Matthew - congratulations on a fine guitar. Looking forward to seeing and hearing it.

BTW folks - Matthew is a great guy and a fabulous player. If you are ever in Columbus, I highly recommend you make time to visit the Shadowbox Cabaret.

BP - I do. I've seen Molly several times as a fan, but I haven't caught her recently. I need to. Her bass playing can blow the rain back up into the sky, can't it? I'll send her an email and find out when she has a gig at a time when I can actually catch her. I did hear one of her more recent recordings. Smoking as always. I'm sure I'll catch up with her soon. I'll tell her you said hello!

Mike - thanks. If anybody happens to be in Columbus, These Guys Live is a great band. Fellow forumite Mike can bring it!
