Bongo 4H/p fretless does Ray Price proud

FYI - Bongo 4H/piezo fretless played with a pick and palm muted gives a very meaty tic-tac bass sound for classic country. I find myself playing a lot of these old standards lately, and this bass does the trick incredibly well. Played it exclusively at a four-hour local gig tonight. What an absolutely fabulous bass.

The ax has a peculiarly semi-acoustic voice, so I can
see how that would work for country ticky-tick.

I very seldom use a pick (it just ain't bass playin'! ; ) but ever since I watched John Pierce playing a Bongo 4H palm-muted pickstyle while backing Huey Lewis at CLB, I have stored that awesome sound in my head for future exploitation.

I really should own a fretted Bongo single-H. It's shameful that I don't, frankly.
