I dont know what it is. The Bongo is great, and as much as I hate to say it, its just not me. The tone is great, the playability is great, but its not me. Ive owned many StingRay 4 and 5s and Sterlings, and thats just where I feel at home. Thats what would serve the music Im playing best.

Dude I totally understand where you are coming from. When I bought my Bongo 5er I thought that it would be my "Forever" bass. Before that I thought my Ken Smith BT5G would be it. Before that I thought my Spector NS2000/5 would be it (hence my username). Now I own 3 SR5's and couldn't be happier (for now).

I think it's better to say "this is what I'm after for a season". It is nice to have 3 top quality basses though because then trades make the GAS a little more affordable.

Hang in there Bro - you'll find just the right bass - for now.

I just like the feel better. And the sound is a more "natural" sound IMO. I can tell you no more. Other than you should try a Bongo and decide for yourself.
